Why Business Aviation is So Effective

A man getting out of a cirrus aircraft

Most private aircraft are owned by businesses and are chartered out for business use when they are available. Studies have consistently shown that companies of any size can benefit from the use of business aircraft! You don’t have to be a frequent user of private aircraft, but there are instances when it just makes sense.

Studies conducted have shown that business aviation helps even small or medium-sized companies with little or no air service by ensuring flexibility and predictability, while also increasing the productivity of employees!

Business Aviation Facts

Below are a few things you may not know about business aviation:

  • Business aircraft increase employee productivity. Passengers on business aircraft have reported that they spend around 65% of their time working. Compare this to traveling commercially, when employees report only using around 40% of their time working. (Harris)
  • A study of S&P Small Cap 600 firms has shown that those who use business aviation financially outperform those firms that do not. The businesses that take advantage of business aviation are also better protected from a recession, provide better customer access and returning value to their shareholders. (NEXA Advisors)
  • Lastly, around 75% of passengers traveling on business aircraft are non-executive employees. They are often sent to a destination in teams since this is the most cost-effective means of rapid travel. (NBAA)
