As a pilot, you’ll encounter situations that may cause distress to your, your flight staff, and your passengers. Surprisingly, on-board celebrities may be the cause of this distress! Celebrities aren’t immune to bad days, but the following celebrities took their bad days a step too far by getting themselves kicked off their airplanes.
Celebrities Who Have Been Kicked Off Flights
Below are just a few of the high-profile instances of famous people who couldn’t keep it together on the airplane:
David Hasselhoff – The actor was banned from boarding a British Airways flight in 2006. He was allegedly drunk and belligerent, which wouldn’t be surprising except that the flight was at 7 a.m.!
Josh Duhamel – In 2010, Josh Duhamel refused to turn off his cell phone as his airplane was taxing down the runway. He threw a bit of a temper tantrum and the pilot had to turn the airplane around so that Duhamel could be escorted off.
Alec Baldwin – In 2011, Alec Baldwin was so into a game of ‘Words with Friends’ that he refused to turn his phone off. He fled to the restroom of the airplane before being escorted off.
Jonathan Rhys Meyers – Because he was drunk and disruptive at the gate of a 2010 flight, Jonathan Rhys Meyers was not only turned away from his flight, but was also banned for life from United Airlines.
Naomi Campbell – When Naomi Campbell discovered that her bags hadn’t made it with her on her flight in 2008, she became irate. She refused to leave the airplane and had to be dragged (literally kicking and screaming) from the aircraft.
Christian Slater – The actor tried to board his 1994 flight with an unlicensed pistol in his luggage. Not only did this result in his inability to board his plane, he was also arrested and sentenced to community service.
Billie Joe Armstrong – Green Day frontman, Billie Joe Armstrong had to be escorted off his airplane in 2011. The reason? He refused to pull up his sagging pants!
