  • Camber - The degree of curve in an airfoil
  • Crosswind - Wind that is blowing in a direction unparallel to the course
  • Final approach - A flight path that leads toward the landing runway
  • Fuselage - The central body of an aircraft
  • Groundspeed - The horizontal speed that your plane travels over the ground
  • Knot - A unit of speed that equals about 1.15 miles per hour or one nautical mile per hour
  • Level flight - A maneuver that makes your aircraft stay at the same altitude
  • Navaid - Abbreviation of Navigational Aid, a device used to aid with navigation
  • Soft field - An unpaved runway, commonly of grass or dirt
  • SQUAWK - A four-digit number assigned to an aircraft for identification
  • Wind Shear - A quick change in wind speed or direction
  • Yoke - The control wheel of an aircraft
