How Do I Get Access to Jet?

Cirrus Aircaft

Flying an aircraft or jet is one of the most expensive hobbies. However, you don’t need to own a plane to fly one. Depending on how much time and money you have, plane rental services can help you fulfill your flying dream. Here is our five-step plane rental process.

  1. Find a Plane Rental Facility

A little-known fact about airports is that they have plane rental services, which means that if you know how to fly an aircraft, you can rent one and take your family and friends on a journey to the sky. While some of these aircraft are privately owned, others are owned by FBO.

All you need to do is reach out to Elevate Aviation and learn about their plane rental and flight school services.

  1. Decide Your Plane Rental Type

Once you have found a plane rental facility, the second step is to decide whether you want to rent an aircraft “dry” or “wet.” Renting a wet jet means the fuel cost will be included, which makes it slightly more expensive than a dry plane rental. However, know that the cost can vary from airport to airport. Therefore, it is important to get an estimated price before deciding.

  1. Learn about the Plane Rental Rate

The plane rental rate might vary depending on the airplane that you choose. For example, a single-engine, lightweight aircraft such as a Cessna 150 or Piper Cub can cost you around $80 to $100 per hour. Whereas renting a standing single-engine piston like Cessna 172s and Piper Cherokees will cost you around $120 to $150 per hour.

  1. Choose an Airplane

In order to select the right type of aircraft, you need to consider three things; your pilot certification, your flying experience, and the flying distance. This will help you mitigate the risks of flying and finding the perfect airplane.

  1. Sign a Plane Rental Contract

If you are tight on the budget, we recommend contacting different facilities to get rates and signing the best plane rental contract that suits your needs.
